Alexandra + Colin | Wedding Photography | The Wooded Knot | Tippecanoe, Indiana

Updated: Jul 20

Alex & Colin's big day took place at The Wooded Knot in Tippecanoe, Indiana. It was a first for me at this location. It was a very nice venue nestled back in the woods. I enjoyed capturing their wedding day there!

Getting Ready...so many fun photos of the girls getting ready!

There are usually quite a few moments that happen during the getting ready time at a wedding. All the anticipation, feelings, emotions, etc... before the ceremony! I always keep my eyes peeled for those moments to capture.

I made sure to grab a few "robe" pics with the girls. I love the matching robes. So cute! We had some fun getting a few mirror photos too!

Even the moms had matching robes!

A few extra special moments with Alex and her maid of honor.

...and a few fun moments with mom...

We didn't forget about the guys getting ready...

Special moment with Colin and his mom.

Colin opening his gift and card from his bride...sweet moments.

Alex had a first look with her dad. So much love!

Right before the ceremony Colin had arranged for Alex to listen to something with her earbuds- in private. I'm not sure what it was, but it had her in tears right before walking down the isle.

Ceremony...here we go! I make sure to capture the wedding party walking down the isle...starting with the moms.

I always look back and snap a few photos of the grooms face when he sees his bride for the first time!

These next few photos are my favorites from the ceremony. They just look so sweet standing there with their heads together while the musician was playing.

Very beautiful ceremony surrounded by close family & friends.

Sweet moments right after they tied the knot!

Family Group photos...these are done right after the ceremony. There were quite a few group photos but here are a few.

Formal photos with the wedding party. During this time I capture the bride & groom with each attendant, the bride with her girls, groom with his guys, and the whole group together. They usually do one nice formal pose, followed by a second funny or sweet pose.

After that the wedding party headed to the reception, and I did the bride portraits, groom portraits and the two of them together! I like to do some formal & some creative poses.

There was a pretty awesome sunset, so we went out for a few more...

The reception was kicked off with the wedding party announcements, which those photos are always fun! You never know what they are going to do.

Next up, was the toasts...they had some good ones!

First dance w/ bride & groom. So sweet and special.

First dance with parents! There were tears for sure...then Alex's dad broke out his dance moves!

Isn't their cake gorgeous?! They were very nice to each other when feeding each other cake....no smashing for these two!

Reception photos are so much fun! Everyone is relaxed by that time, dancing and having a great time! Not only do I capture the dancing that happens but also the fun, candid "in the moment" photos at the reception. I also get any other group photos needed with the guests and bride & groom.

Alex and Colin finished the evening with a sparkler send-off. Sparks were flying!

Thank you Alex & Colin for choosing me to capture your wedding day! It was absolutely amazing!! I enjoyed working with you and hope you enjoy the images for years to come!
